Earlier this morning, Alex appeared on Sky News where she spoke on the new charity single “Everybody Hurts” and also for the first time really opened up about traveling to Haiti to help the victims of the Earthquake. According to Alex, she will be leaving tomorrow and I just want you to know (Alex) that my prayers are with you. Enjoy the interview guys - its great as always!

As reported in the news, Alexandra Burke will be flying down to Haiti to help out with whatever she can. Once again, I think its so important for everyone to give her your love & support as we know the terrible tragedies still going on there. It takes a strong, caring person to do what she and all the other volunteers are doing and for that I have to give them all the highest props and love.

All I can say to this headline is “wow”. I am absolutely floored by Alexandra’s braveness to step up in the biggest way possible and to volunteer to fly down to Haiti to help out with the relief cause. Alexandra Burke is jetting off to Haiti on Monday.

The X Factor 2008 winner wants to see the devastation caused by last month’s earthquake first hand.

‘When [I was] asked if I would go to see the things for myself, I didn’t hesitate,’ Alex tells The Sun.

‘If I can raise awareness about how much support is needed then I’m there in a heartbeat.

‘I don’t think anyone can prepare for what it’ll be like but I’ll try to be strong.’

Alexandra, 21, features on Simon Cowell’s charity cover of REM’s 1993 hit Everybody Hurts in aid of victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The song will be available to download from 7 February.

All proceeds go to the Disasters Emergency Committee and The Sun’s Helping Haiti campaign.

The big gig we have been hearing all about (via twitter @TWEAMBURKE) went down today at London’s Westfield Shopping Center. Alexandra performed a number of songs from her debut album “Overcome” at the Nokia Orange Store. How absolutely beautiful does she look guys?! And I am so happy so many of TWEAMBURKE showed up to the gig to support our girl. I will defo be looking for the video performances to add.
