Sony recording artists Alexandra Burke and Labrinth are set to perform at the Manchester Arena at half-time of the games between USA Basketball and Great Britain Basketball Men and Women this week.
X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke will perform at half-time during the game between USA Basketball Women and Great Britain Women tomorrow, July 18th, with singer-songwriter Labrinth performing at half-time the following night when the men’s teams go head-to-head.
Alexandra Burke said: “To perform at such a landmark event is a fantastic honour. I am really looking forward to being part of the evening and performing in front of the Manchester crowd.”
Labrinth said: “It is going to be a huge game with some of the best players in the world playing. I’m very excited about playing a role at what will be a fantastic event.”
Alexandra Burke has sold over 4 million records in the UK alone and had three Number 1 singles to date. She recently hit the Top 3 with her single ‘Elephant’, and has just released her second album ‘Heartbreak On Hold’.
Labrinth will be performing songs from his best-selling album ‘Electronic Earth’ including the top three singles ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Let The Sunshine’. Over the past year the critically acclaimed artist has sold over 1.5 million records in the UK.
