Alexandra Burke has dished the dirt on her new album information. Speaking in a recent interview with entertainment.ie a couple of days ago, the singler revealed some new information regarding her upcoming sophomore release ‘Heartbreak on Hold’ due 4th June.

When asked about other potential collaborations on the record, Alex revealed that there will indeed be no other collabs on the album other than Erick Morillo on ‘Elephant’. She then hinted that there was the chance for features on a re-release sometime in the future.

Burke also announced that the album, that features 12 songs, will be very uptempo and will include only one mid-tempo track and one ballad, the latter being ‘What Money Can’t Buy’ which was written by Alexandra herself when she was 18 years old and means a lot to her.

Alexandra has been confirmed to perform at this years Voice of Ireland final which goes down live on April 29th. You can tune in to the show on Ireland’s RTE One channel at 6:30pm.

Alex will be performing her latest single “LET IT GO” which is out on 27 May. Don’t forget to pre-order the single by clicking here.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will perform in the final of The Voice of Ireland on Sunday April 29 on RTÉ One at 6.30pm.

She will sing her new single Let It Go taken from her forthcoming new album Heartbreak On Hold.

The final kicks off with a group performance from the remaining acts who will also be joined on stage by their mentors, Kian Egan, Sharon Corr, Brian Kennedy and Bressie.

Then the final four, Jim, Vanessa, Richie and Pat will sing their favourite song of the series as their final solo performance to convince the nation that they are the worthy winner of a contract with Universal.

The acts will then close the show with another group performance.

Hi guys hope everyone is good! I’ve been off for a couple weeks on holiday in St. Vincent. It was quite blissful… I went snorkelling with turtles, swam with stingrays and just generally relaxed. It gave me a lot of time to think about the last few months and the next few coming up – ‘cos I have got a lot of work to do!

Even though I was officially on ‘me’ time when I was away, I can never fully switch off and I had a hundred different ideas buzzing round in my head! I’m not gonna lie, this is my second album now and there is that age old stigma attached to the ‘difficult’ second album! There are gonna be a lot of eyeballs on me, and I would be lying if I didn’t say I am feeling the pressure.

I’m a creative artist, and one that wants to be really involved with the planning and execution of my music (which has probably meant I’ve put a few noses out of joint in the past…lol!) and I’m a perfectionist, which is why I am thankful that I’ve been given a bit of breathing space to really get this record right. I’ve come to terms that I’m not the sort of artist that is gonna put out an album a year – I just don’t work like that. And I’m cool with that you know – I’ve learnt to be comfortable in my own skin and really focus on making music that I am passionate about. It took a lot of time for me to come up with the album name but this was something that was important to me. This album is my baby, it’s my art and I am so ready to tour and promote it you know. We’re only just getting stuck in!

Great news, Beasties! Alexandra has launched her brand new LipBOOM lipstick line with MUA and last night, an exclusive party was held at London’s Rose Nightclub.
